On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse

As an On-Call Hospice RN with Interim Health Care Hospice, you will provide compassionate, after‑hours care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. In this vital role, you will respond to urgent needs, manage symptoms, and offer emotional support to patients and their families—ensuring each individual experiences comfort, dignity, and peace during life’s most vulnerable moments.

Our On-Call Hospice RNs enjoy some notable benefits:- Competitive Pay – $80,000 per year based on experience

- Respond promptly and professionally to after‑hours calls and patient visits
- Provide expert pain and symptom management in accordance with individualized care plans
- Support families and caregivers with compassion, education, and reassurance
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
- Current RN license in the state of Louisiana
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of hospice experience
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a home setting
- Compassionate approach to end‑of‑life care and support for families
- CPR certification, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations. Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills, and compassion
