Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Manhattan Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This is a Contract to permanent position within the retail industry, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth.

Responsibilities:

- Process and code invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Manage and reconcile asset inventory records to maintain accurate financial reporting.

- Verify and match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation.

- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships.

- Prepare and process payment batches, including checks and electronic transfers.

- Assist with month-end closing activities by providing relevant accounts payable data.

- Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing asset inventory.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.

- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

- Ability to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of transactions.

- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
