Job Description:

The Electrical Component and Material Lab (ECML) section is looking for a passionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Lab technician. The successful candidate will support the DPA Lab with performing DPA testing on wide variety of electronic components (passives, actives, connectors, hybrids, IMAs, COTS). Conducts experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories to support engineering and reliability analyses.

Evaluates new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications. Isolates problems for further analyses. Collects and documents results, and generates reports. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May design experiments. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 0 years of experience
Ability to follow test plans and work with hands
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook) skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if hired as FTE

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working at a DPA Lab or electronics failure analysis lab environment

Experience with Mil-Std-883, Mil-Std-750, Mil-Std-1580
