A rapidly growing private equity firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join their team. This professional will play a key role in supporting fund reporting and accounting, reporting to the Controller and helping oversee and review the work of the third-party fund administrator.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a third-party fund administrator on all fund accounting and reporting functions, including reviewing capital calls and distributions, quarterly financial statements, investor NAV statements, ILPA templates, fee calculations and offsets, waterfalls, investor reporting, etc.
  • Prepare quarterly supplemental reporting packages for investors
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly fair valuations for portfolio company investments
  • Preparation of quarterly returns calculations
  • Tie-out of the investor marketing presentation and maintenance of its accounting support
  • Coordination of data collection and output review for portfolio reporting
  • Manage year-end audits of the funds and SPVs
  • Design and implement key policies, procedures, and controls
  • Other ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3-7+ years of experience in the investment management industry, specifically in the fund accounting, fund administration, and/or fund audit function
  • Familiarity with fund returns metrics (gross and net IRR, MOIC, DPI, etc.)
  • Experience working for a “Big Four” accounting firm in the investment management practice strongly preferred
  • CPA license preferred (inactive status is OK)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to multi-task and drive multiple end-to-end projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to consistently display a professional and courteous manner with all stakeholders (investors, co-workers, management, portfolio companies, third-party service providers, etc.)
