Job Title: Software Engineer
We are looking for a Software Engineer based out of Manhattan Beach, CA, to work on state‑of‑the‑art Mission Planning systems. This role will support the full software product lifecycle in an Agile Scrum framework, encompassing requirement definition, estimation, implementation, unit testing, integration testing, software/hardware integration, test documentation, test events, and customer support.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems with logical and mathematical solutions while ensuring software standards are met.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug‑free delivery of critical business software to production.
- Set up and deploy development, test, and build environments.
- Create and update Windows installers.
- Install, test, and verify software products.
- Provide support for software build and installation.
- Work within a cross‑functional Scrum to develop high‑priority mission‑planning features.
- Understand third‑party software and hardware peripherals to support implementation of software interfaces and system integration.
- Develop software test products such as Verification Cross‑Reference Matrices, Software Test Plans, Software Test Procedures, and Software Test Reports.
- Define and develop test approaches for new software and system capabilities.
- Compile data and define changes required in testing procedures or new testing requirements.
- Perform frequent smoke and acceptance testing on software builds.
- Resolve technical issues within and across Scrum teams, with support from other functional roles.
- Support authoring and development of contract deliverable documentation that supports deliverable software products and test events.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no prior experience, or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Knowledge of C# and other object‑oriented programming languages such as Java and C++.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows technologies (e.g., .NET Framework, Win Forms).
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages:
Power Shell, Batch, or Python. - Understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with debugging at the code level and Windows service/process level.
- Experience with Sonar Qube or other static code analysis frameworks.
- Joint Mission Planning System development experience.
- Service hosting and inter‑process communication experience.
- Experience managing Microservices.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 – $. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
