The Financial Accounting Specialist is an entry‑level role designed for recent graduates seeking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis. This position supports general ledger activities and assists with key accounting processes for specified areas of the Company’s Retail business.

• Maintain and close the general ledger each month
• Prepare and analyze journal entries and accruals
• Prepare monthly income statements and expense reports
• Prepare detailed monthly reconciliations and account analyses
• Compile and analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analyses as needed
• Partner with operating departments on close activities and analyze key drivers of results
• Support process improvements and the development of best practices
• Create and update capitalization schedules for new leases
• Review monthly rent payments and related charges
• Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Follow and help maintain documented procedures in compliance with SOX and GAAP
• Support the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package for external annual audits
• Support the audit process by preparing requested schedules and working with external auditors
• Assist with ad hoc assignments and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
• CPA preferred; CPA exam candidates are a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Net Suite, is preferred
• Retail or wholesale experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Results‑oriented and proactive in resolving problems and overcoming obstacles
• Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
• Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
• Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds

Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00
