Position Summary:Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Program Support Assistant to support the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Manhattan, KS. We are looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to jump in where needed. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Collate and distribute mail
- Prepare memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
- Write and edit communications, from letters to reports and instructional documents
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping
Supporting seamless coordination across units - Serve as the primary link between scientific personnel, management, and external partners
- Facilitate communication, tracking workflow, and maintaining the documentation and structure required for federally funded scientific programs
- Collaborate with other administrators, support personnel, management and clients on a regular basis.
- Make independent decisions daily, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements Security Requirements:- Must be able to obtain a PIV badge.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Mental AndPhysical Requirements
This position is based in an office environment, primarily involving computer work, meetings, and collaboration with team members.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based administrative work, including frequent keyboarding, data entry, and use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift or carry office materials, files, or supplies weighing up to approximately 10–20 pounds.
- Ability to learn and effectively use Microsoft Office 365 and other computer software, including bookkeeping, billing, and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to bookkeeping, billing, invoices, and financial recordkeeping with accuracy.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and handling office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and switch between responsibilities with minimal disruption.
