Assistant Service Manager — Automotive Service

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager or Service Advisor to support our automotive service department and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily operations of the service department.
  • Provide professional, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service.
  • Review technician inspections and recommend necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Effectively sell additional recommended services while building customer trust.
  • Use photos, videos, and digital vehicle inspections to clearly explain vehicle needs to guests.
  • Communicate repair recommendations in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Assist with estimates, repair orders, scheduling, and workflow.
  • Work closely with technicians and Service Advisors to ensure quality and timely repairs.
  • Support customer satisfaction, sales, and retention goals.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of automotive service experience, preferably as a Service Advisor or Assistant Service Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Proven ability to sell recommended services.
  • Experience with digital inspections, photos, and videos.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

A bumper to bumper, master certified technician capable of diagnosing and repairing any system of the automobile without supervision. In most cases, are leaders in the shop and chosen to support the development of other technicians when needed. At times, may be called upon to interface with customers in any capacity.
