Title Operations Specialist Tier 2

The Title Operations Specialist Tier 2 plays a key role in making that happen. This position is based in the Manchester, KS office and reports directly to the Title Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Support Title Operations Specialist Tier 1 coworkers by processing incoming and outgoing title documents and updating internal systems accurately.
  • Maintain and update internal systems to track the flow of work and information.
  • Monitor workflow processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with title transfer standards.
  • Coordinate with the Lender Services team to maintain adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate within the Title Operations team to learn and solve problems.
  • Review contracts, titles, and title documents for transfer‑ability, identifying errors, omissions, and inaccuracies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, especially the Listing Operations team, to ensure seamless processes.
  • Monitor all forms of communication for incoming questions, documents, and updates and take appropriate action.
  • Interpret operational protocol and exercise judgment when publishing items.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of title standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Title Operations Manager to maintain and enforce comprehensive standards for title transfer‑ability.
  • Assist the Purple Wave sales team in the field with questions and support as needed.
  • Assist in updating training documents and materials on the latest state laws and regulations.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert to resolve title issues, find efficiencies, and provide answers to team members, buyers, and sellers.
  • Investigate, resolve, or elevate issues regarding asset transfer‑ability.
  • Ensure mandatory listing standards for all title‑able assets are maintained.
  • Complete weekly out‑of‑bounds title reviews and communicate findings to relevant parties.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with titles.
  • Proficiency in using software and applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • May be requested to complete position‑specific skills assessments.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.
Working Settings
  • Full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt, eligible for overtime.
  • Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; overtime may be required to meet due dates and is compensated per U.S. Department of Labor requirements.
  • Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
  • Typical work includes prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate varies based on experience and qualifications, typically ranging from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.
  • Monthly bonus program based on company’s monthly revenue (90 % = $300, 100 % = $600, 110 % = $900, 120 % = $1,200).

  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4 % starting the first day of employment.
  • Company‑paid life insurance with options for supplemental coverage.
  • Fully paid short‑term disability provided by the company.
  • Three weeks of PTO annually (details shared during onboarding).
