Veterinarian

Veterinarian – Manhattan, KS

• Support Head of Research Services with mentoring of new and/or existing Investigators and Animal Care Technicians
• Oversee daily workload for Animal Care Technicians on assigned projects
• Coordinate and conduct GCP and study protocol training at study sites and assure training is documented
• Establish rapport with study site staff to assure compliance with the protocol, applicable regulatory and guidance documents, SOPs, and all study activities
• Provide tracking and quality control of data as required and assist with responses to QA audits
• Mastery of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
• Monitor and maintain the health and well‑being of on‑site animals in compliance with animal use guidelines
• Mastery of USDA guidelines and IACUC protocols in relation to animal care
• Advise MVS management regarding IVP/CVP and study materials management

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university program
• Current Veterinary license in good standing
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a scientific discipline and/or veterinary experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with EDC systems (Electronic Data Capture) is a plus
• Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), data management, quality control and/or quality assurance is preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and proper travel documentation i.e., passport, and have the ability to travel
• A collaborative working style to be able to lead and motivate people at all levels and across all functions in an organization
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to think outside of the box and develop flexible approaches to resolve complex issues
