• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Support senior quantity surveyors in the management of project costs, including monitoring expenditure and identifying potential cost savings.
• Prepare and analyze tender documentation, including bills of quantities and specifications, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to assess project progress and provide regular updates on financial performance.
• Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and assess the progress of construction work, ensuring that it aligns with budget forecasts.
• Assist in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring timely submission and accuracy of financial reports.
• Participate in negotiations with contractors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing for materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and correspondence related to projects, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Contribute to risk management processes by identifying potential financial risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices in quantity surveying to enhance professional development.
• Support the development of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and team members to promote effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare detailed reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, and industry standards is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• Membership or working towards membership in a professional body such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is a plus.
• Experience with project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera, would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and cost management techniques.
