Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to support our dental hygienists in delivering high-quality preventive care to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a team-focused mindset, and a genuine passion for patient education and oral health.
Key Responsibilities- Assist hygienists with procedures such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and periodontal assessments
- Perform coronal polishing, apply fluoride, place sealants, and take/process x-rays
- Record medical/dental histories, vital signs, and assist with charting and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate dental records and uphold HIPAA compliance
- Support overall patient care and clinic operations as part of the dental team
- Perform other duties as assigned
