Kansas State’s thriving fraternity and sorority life community is a unique and exciting opportunity for graduate assistants to work with award-wining Interfraternity and Panhellenic organizations. At Kansas State University, students are proud of their involvement, energized for improvement, and appreciative of support. Manhattan is home to 21 IFC organizations and 14 PHC organizations with 17 and 13 chapter houses respectively. Facilities are locally or nationally owned and are not a facet of the FSL Office supervision.
Kansas State’s Multicultural Greek Organizations and National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations are supported under the department of Student Belonging and Inclusion and are advised by staff in our neighboring Multicultural Student Center. Responsibilities- Positively represent the fraternity and sorority life office to prospective and current students and families through clear communication.
- Create strong campus partnerships to improve recruitment efforts, campus relations, and community events.
- Assist in supporting Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council operations, FSL Ambassadors, and leadership programming.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Enrollment as a current graduate student at Kansas State University, with preference for those pursuing the College Student Development Master's Degree.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience in a student organization, preferably a Greek-lettered organization.
- Sufficient in public speaking, one-on-one coaching and student leadership.
- $16,000 allocated through August-May appointment
- Tuition payment for 15 credit hours a year
- Eligibility for in-state tuition rates (but not a tuition waiver).
- Health insurance.
- $1,000 Professional Development fund
Complete the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs’ Coordinated Graduate Assistantship application. As a part of the process, applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, list of professional references, and other documents as required by the position(s).
