KACEE ee Corps KACEE Outreach

Led by the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE), the Environmental Education Corps (ee Corps) Ameri Corps Program places Ameri Corps members at organizations throughout Kansas to focus on increasing environmental literacy for PreK-12 students and building capacity for environmental education in the region. ee Corps works directly with teachers, schools, and environmental education providers to support them in expanding the reach and increasing the impact of EE programming, while providing access to equitable learning experiences for all PreK-12 students.

This position is ideal for someone interested in program creation and delivery. The ee Corps member will work closely with KACEE staff to develop opportunities to support environmental and outdoor learning with local partners, delivering environmental learning to a minimum of 250 students and completing at least 125 learning evaluations at local sites across Manhattan, KS, and the surrounding area, and develop programming to engage new audiences within targeted focus areas.

This is a hybrid service opportunity that combines behind-the-scenes program development, civic engagement, and collaborative outreach with hands-on, direct environmental education for Pre-K-12 students and community members. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties :
The ee Corps member's duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, working with KACEE Staff to develop local outreach & engagement opportunities to support environmental and outdoor learning with local partners, deliver environmental learning to a minimum of 250 students and complete at least 125 learning evaluations at local sites, work with KACEE staff to develop programming to engage new audiences with a targeted focus on: creating an eeHub of local environmental education providers, creating and pilot testing a student leadership summit, creating a Higher Education eeHub, lead and support local district-wide environmental education initiatives, facilitate collaboration among educators from each school to create a cohesive, tiered approach to environmental education.
