The School of Health Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a 9-month Instructor to join their Kinesiology Program. This position will teach undergraduate courses in kinesiology, integrative physiology, and/or exercise behavioral science, helping prepare students for careers and additional education in various health and physical activity-related settings. This non-tenure track position will report directly to the program chair.
This 9-month position at the rank of instructor has a preferred starting date of August 2026, with competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
About UsThe Kinesiology Program includes core faculty in two focused research disciplines: exercise behavioral science and exercise physiology. The program offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees and participates in the interdisciplinary BMPH program. The program provides a collegial and supportive environment that fosters high-quality research and highly ranked graduate programs.
The School of Health Sciences is a leader in health science education, research and engagement through fostering interdisciplinary collaborations to advance the health and well-being of individuals and populations. What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
- Earned master's degree in kinesiology or related field
- Demonstrated teaching experience (laboratory and/or lecture courses)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in-person or online in one or more of the following areas:
- Anatomy and physiology, physiology of exercise, exercise behavioral science
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
