Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Manhattan, KS is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position. This role requires a dedicated professional with expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and supporting students academic and emotional needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho educational evaluations to identify learning disabilities and other student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Implement interventions and monitor student progress to enhance educational outcomes
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and psychological services
Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Appropriate state certification or licensure to practice as a school psychologist
- Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and developing IEPs
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities within a school setting
