Manhattan Christian College invites applications for the position of Professor of Intercultural Studies. The professor will teach undergraduate courses in Intercultural Studies such as History of Christian Missions, Contextualization, Global Trends and Missions Strategy, and additional courses reflecting interests in Christian ministries and Bible/Theology.
Search Criteria- MDiv or MA in a related field required; terminal degree preferred.
- Philosophy of education appropriate for undergraduate studies.
- Theological approach that seeks to serve the church.
- Desire to participate in a college that integrates theological and ministry training.
- College teaching experience.
- Cross‑cultural ministry experience.
- Background and commitment to the Christian Church/Churches of Christ and Stone‑Campbell Movement.
- A teaching load not to exceed 27 hours per academic year.
- Student academic advising.
- Faculty committee appointments.
- Interaction with students to promote a mentoring atmosphere.
- Regular office hours on campus.
- Participation in course assessment.
Compensation and rank are determined by education level and experience.
