Clinical Assistant Professor SA Emergency
Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a full‑time clinical, 1‑year renewable appointment as a Small Animal Emergency Clinician (SAEC).
About This Role- Work with house officers, senior students and technical staff caring for small‑animal patients after hours.
- Provide senior faculty consultation and back‑up assistance.
- Deliver clinical and didactic instruction to senior students on the Small Animal Emergency rotation and on emergency clinical services.
- Perform evening, overnight and weekend duties—shared among the SAECs.
- Full 100% appointment in clinical service and teaching.
- DVM (or equivalent) degree.
- Preferred: internship training or three years of experience in small‑animal practice.
- Preferred: advanced training in emergency and critical care (valued but not required).
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The starting date is negotiable. Professorial rank will be based on academic experience and accomplishments per departmental guidelines.
