The Administrative and Work-Based Learning Coordinator reports directly to the Sheridan College Dean of Business and Industry. This full‑time, in‑person position (12 months per year) supports the Northern Wyoming Career Pathways Partnership (NWCPP) consortium. The coordinator facilitates employer participation in events, career pathway development, and Work‑Based Learning (WBL) program opportunities, aligning employer workforce needs with educational pathways and ensuring students are prepared for meaningful career experiences.

The coordinator works closely with School District WBL Coordinators, the Career Pathways Counselor, and partners to assist with WBL student advising, match students with internships, job shadows, and other career exploration experiences, and serve as a primary point of contact for students, staff, faculty, and the wider community.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, workforce development, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role; five years preferred.
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office programs, learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), and instructional technology.
  • Self‑directed work style with initiative, diplomacy, cultural awareness, and a genuine commitment to connecting students with meaningful career pathways.
  • Familiarity with experiential learning and learner‑centered educational philosophies.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage effectively with students, educators, employers, and community partners.
  • Awareness of workforce trends and industry sectors relevant to Wyoming and regional economic development.
  • Ability to support and expand community outreach and collaborations.
  • Experience utilizing student information systems, CRM platforms, and data management tools preferred.
  • Follows and ensures compliance with departmental processes and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication at all levels.
  • Team‑oriented with ability to work toward shared objectives.
  • Utilizes technology and emerging workplace tools (including AI) in accordance with College policies and data security requirements.
Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements
  • Standard schedule; some assignments may be scheduled for evenings and weekends.
  • Travel within Sheridan County and surrounding service areas may be required.
  • Regular in‑person attendance required; not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
Experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar position (five years preferred).

Job Duties

Percentage of time primarily focused on Work‑Based Learning Support; supporting student advising; additional duties as needed.

Work‑Based Learning Support
  • Plan and coordinate NWCPP meetings, semi‑annual events, career fairs, and key gatherings.
  • Recruit, encourage, and support employer engagement and workforce partnerships to grow internships, job shadows, mock interviews, apprenticeships, and other experiential learning opportunities.
