About This Role

The Department of Finance in the Kansas State University College of Business is seeking a non-tenure-track, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance to start in August 2026 on a one‑year appointment. The candidate will primarily teach and provide service in the College of Business, with resources available for continued research activity.

Responsibilities
  • Teach investment courses, covering two sections in the fall semester and two sections in the spring semester.
  • Teach supplementary courses such as corporate finance or financial modeling as needed.
  • Contribute to collegiality and shared governance by serving on departmental or college committees, advising student organizations, engaging with students, and participating in academic events.
  • Maintain a scholarly activity record by publishing in high‑quality academic journals in finance or related areas and using library databases such as WRDS.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB‑accredited business school.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior university teaching experience in finance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Related professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated potential for high‑quality teaching.
  • Willingness to contribute to the service mission of the department and college.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with students, alumni, and external partners.
  • Research record of publications in top academic journals and presentations at national conferences.
