Early Learning Classroom Support

• To ensure high quality learning and student/teacher ratios are maintained when regular early learning support staff are absent. We strive to work as a team to help students meet their full potential through the implementation of dynamic educational programs. Teacher/Principal

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.

• Assist or directly carry out educational activities designed by the educator.
• Responsible for meal preparation and supervises rest time.
• Engage with students during indoor/outdoor play with precautions for student safety.
• Guide classroom behavior in an age-appropriate way.
• Support the needs of students during small groups or individual instruction.
• Respond appropriately to the cultural, economic, and linguistic differences between students.
• Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all students, parents, and staff members.
• Other duties as assigned by educator.
