The Grant Specialist works directly with faculty to prepare proposals for external funding, ensuring proposals are complete, accurate, and compliant with funding guidelines. The role also supports data collection and reporting needs for grant management.

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of relevant experience
• Experience in grant and contract administration, particularly budget development and proposal interpretation

• Experience in proposal development and interpretation of guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Experience with in a not‑for‑profit university environment
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with faculty, staff, and external agencies
• Strong communication skills—written, oral, interpersonal, and team‑building
• Proactive, flexible, detail‑oriented, and able to exercise good judgment and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while maintaining customer service and compliance standards
• Proficiency in specialized software applications and data/reporting tools
• Diplomacy in handling confidential matters discreetly
