Job DutiesClerk of the District Court. Highly supervisory, administrative, and participatory work involving overall management of the Civil, Criminal, Probate, Traffic, Juvenile and delinquent personal property tax functions at a trial level of the Kansas District Court. Coordination of various activities and subordinate personnel to ensure that case processing systems and procedures are efficient, effective, and compatible throughout the court.
Requires complete knowledge of all computer programs, including accounting, docketing, traffic, budget, and judge’s docket. Work performed under the supervision of the Chief Clerk Administrator and the chief judge.
RequiredEducation and Experience
Graduation from high school and four years of clerical experience, including at least two years of court clerical or other legal experience. Course work at an accredited two or four‑year college or university may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of required experience, except that at least two years of court clerical or comparable experience is required in addition to any college work substituted.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in accounting, personnel supervision, records management, other court related duties and customer service.
- Experience with personal computer technology, software applications, local area network systems.
- Familiarity with the 31st Judicial District preferred.
