K-State Athletics is seeking a qualified applicant for the role of Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to provide meals and snacks to student‑athletes in order to enhance their health, fitness, and optimal performance. The candidate will use evidence‑based nutrition knowledge to assess, educate, and counsel student‑athletes.
Worksite DescriptionThis position is on‑site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working and K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You’ll Need to Succeed– Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics or related field from an accredited university or college
- Two to four years of experience working as a dietician in a professional/collegiate setting
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Eligibility to obtain a State of Kansas Dietitian License within one year of first day of employment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Strong written and interpersonal skills with student‑athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook programs
- Master’s degree in nutrition or related field from an accredited university or college
- Three or more years of experience providing nutrition/dietary services for a professional sport or NCAA Division I athletics program
- Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)
- Experience in medical nutrition therapy, including eating disorder counseling
- Knowledge of food service quality and safety
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range$50,000 to $60,000
