Role Description

The Banquet Server is a part-time, on-site role based at Bluemont Hotel in Manhattan, KS. This role is responsible for setting up banquet rooms and event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and service stations according to event specifications. Banquet Servers greet guests, present menus when applicable, serve food and beverages, clear dishes, and maintain a clean, organized service area throughout events.

They coordinate with the banquet and kitchen teams to ensure timely service, respond to guest requests, and support event breakdown and room reset after functions. The position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on event schedules.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess Food Service and Food & Beverage skills relevant to banquet or restaurant environments.
  • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage courteously with guests and team members.
  • Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors, kitchen staff, and fellow servers.
  • Experience in banquet serving, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry trays or equipment, and follow safety and hygiene standards.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
