The school custodian is an essential team member that maintains and cleans the building and grounds. Our district is looking for creative problem solvers who appreciate working with students and staff from a diverse background. Various Locations throughout Manhattan and Ogden
Salary- Day / Evening Shift - $13.00-$22.50/hour.
- Trainer - +$0.50/hour.
- Evening Shift Leader - +$1.50/hour.
- Head Middle School - +$2.00/hour.
- Head High School - +$2.50/hour.
- Placement within this range is based on relevant qualifications, prior experience, education, and applicable certifications (e.g., bachelor’s degree, advanced certification, bilingual proficiency, etc.).
- Day Shift 6:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Evening Shift 3:00 pm – 12:00 am.
- Full and part time positions available.
- Options for flexible hours.
- New employees go through a 45-day introductory period as part of onboarding after which benefits will begin, and leave can be used.
Director of Maintenance
Job Duties- Ability to work effectively on a team and/or individually.
- Clean and preserve district facilities and grounds according to industry/district standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and refinish floors; clean, dust and polish furniture; wash windows and walls; clean restrooms; dispose of trash; change light bulbs, etc.
- Support a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance to extend life of equipment and reduce repair costs.
- Repair furniture and equipment (desks, chairs, light bulbs, sinks, toilets, etc.) to ensure a safe and functional facility.
- Aid with set up and clean-up of building activities and programs.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Promote the safety, health and comfort of students and employees.
- Attend and participate in custodial and maintenance meetings and trainings.
- Conduct daily inspections/maintain awareness of facility and equipment to prevent injuries and/or damage.
- Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Vision and dental insurance are available for employees working 17.5 hours/week.
- Health insurance is available for employees working at least 30+ hours/week with a district contribution of $8,772 per year.
