Title: Storeroom Attendant Location: Tonganoxie, KS Type: Part Time (w/potential to become future full time Crib Attendant/Inventory Clerk)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm (CST)
About the Role
The Storeroom Attendant will be responsible for maintaining and issuing the tools and supplies used in the production supply crib located on the site of our client in Tonganoxie, KS.
What You’ll Do- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
- Cycle counting
- Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
- General housekeeping; maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Inventory management of tools and equipment
- Coordinate customer needs
- Identify cost savings initiatives
- Delivers tools, equipment or product to workers, manually or using hand truck
- Assist with optimizing scheduled maintenance operations to reduce breakdowns
- Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear and report damage or wear to supervisor
- Responsible for daily receiving to include verifying shipment to packing slip and notification to departments when shipments are received for them
- Marking of stock items and putting them away in proper locations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing environment, or inventory role is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with the daily operation of supply cribs
- Professional phone demeanor
- Experience with computer managed inventory systems
- Ability to use inventory software (SAP experience would be a +) and basic spreadsheet programs (like Excel or Google Sheets)
- Mechanical or Industrial background preferred
- Experience working with maintenance and manufacturing personnel is a plus
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to interact with others: co-workers, upper management, contractors, etc. on a daily basis with a positive attitude
- Accepting of direction from others
- Detail-oriented
- Physical: ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand and walk for extended periods of time, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting
- Organized: maintaining a clean and organized work area
