Job Description

Grace Baptist Church in Manhattan, KS is seeking an Associate Pastor of Youth and Families. Our vision is ‘Every disciple making a disciple. Our mission ‘Making disciples who love Christ and love others. (Derived from the ‘Great Commandment’ and the ‘Great Commission’.

The Associate Pastor of Youth and Families will serve the church through ministry to children, youth, and their families and fulfill general pastoral responsibilities. This position reports to the Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities

Ministry to children, youth, and their families: including teaching, leadership, discipleship, mentoring leaders, and administration.

Oversight of all child and youth ministries, direct involvement with youth.

Opportunities to engage in the full range of pastoral ministries including teaching, discipleship, counseling, visitation, evangelism, baptisms, communion, weddings, funerals, and prayer.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Elders and Senior Pastor.

Skills and Qualifications

Committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Elder qualified according to 1

Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

Completed theological training (seminary preferred).

Full agreement with the Grace Baptist Statement of Faith and position statements.

Competent in basic pastoral duties.

Passion to serve.
