The Outpatient Infusion RN provides high‑quality care to patients receiving infusion and injectable therapies in the outpatient setting. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring responses, providing education, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and oversee nursing care for the department‑specific patient population, following hospital standards and the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to achieve efficient care and desired patient outcomes.
- Apply knowledge of patients’ age, cultural diversity, and health status in providing care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that demonstrate positive patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current RN licensure in Kansas or a current active multi‑state RN license.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course completed within one year of hire.
