Provides direct nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting, ensuring a high standard of resident well-being and adherence to facility policies and procedures.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor resident vital signs and report any changes in condition.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Document resident care, observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate residents and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.

Variable shifts (Days or Nights) based on facility needs. Assignments may be 4x12 or 3x12 shifts.

• Valid State of Alaska Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Specific experience in Long Term Care (LTC).

• Proficient in medication administration and wound care.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• ECS charting system.

• Geriatric residents requiring long-term care.

• Long Term Care (LTC) Facility.

• Willing to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Not on-call.
