Travel Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 13-week long-term care assignment in rural Kansas. The role involves delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care to geriatric residents while working a 3x12-hour schedule with both day and night shifts. The position offers up to $1,800 per week and opportunities to gain experience in a supportive, community-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
Document nursing assessments, interventions, and resident progress
Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and clinical staff
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Coordinate care with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other team members
Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and emergency situations
Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection-control standards
Provide compassionate support and education to residents and their families
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced LTC environment
Skills:
Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nursing experience
Travel nursing experience
You hold an active Kansas RN or Compact license. You have current BLS certification and strong documentation skills. You can provide 3x12-hour LTC care independently.
