Retail & Store Manager, Stocking
We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development.
Responsibilities- Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
- Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
- Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other store communications.
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays.
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
- Maintain areas of the store per company standards; keep sales floor well‑stocked and stockroom organized.
- Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and ensure all associates follow them.
- Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
- Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and general neatness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, interpreting, and explaining operational directives required.
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height; meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
- Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required.
