Job DetailsAssociate Director of National Account (ADCA). The position is fully remote with 20‑30% travel and reports to the Director of Corporate Accounts. Responsibilities focus on optimizing access, reimbursement, and profitability for CSL Behring’s portfolio of brands in specialty and orphan disease.
Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities- Execute CSL Behring’s market access strategies with payers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, Medicare Administrative contractors, Medicaid programs, and Specialty Pharmacies.
- Lead negotiation and contract management activities with targeted accounts.
- Support development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of market access strategies within Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Specialty Pharmacy market channels.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations and Medical Affairs to align strategies and meet joint brand and cross‑organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with Field Reimbursement leadership to overcome product access obstacles.
- Analyze US healthcare market trends, healthcare reform, and relevant business models to inform account‑management approach.
- Advise commercial leadership on payer and SP market trends, landscape changes and policies that influence the marketplace for the CSL Behring portfolio.
- Manage resources effectively and efficiently within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, US healthcare laws and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CSL with assigned accounts, fostering and developing multi‑level and senior relationships within assigned accounts and affiliated organizations to create a foundation for new business opportunities. Develop internal champions within each account.
- Analyze accounts’ near‑term and longer‑term objectives and promote consideration of company products and services to meet identified objectives. Develop strategic account plans to increase penetration of CSL Behring products. Provide timely feedback to CSL regarding accounts and resulting effect on sales. Provide accurate forecasts for each assigned account.
- Secure meetings with appropriate customer personnel to review clinical and reimbursement information and adopt appropriate treatment protocols and policies supportive of CSL therapies.
- Represent CSL Behring at key Payor/PBM and Specialty Pharmacy conferences. Contribute to training on appropriate topics for CSL sales representatives, MSL and others as needed.
- Integrate with Regional Business Managers to drive penetration and initiative implementation in each region. Coordinate with other Account Managers to leverage relationships to ensure CSL Behring therapies are properly integrated with end‑user customers.
- Troubleshoot accounts to overcome clinical issues and barriers involving the company’s product portfolio. Educate selective customers on the company and the unique benefits of CSL products and programs. Collaborate with Field Reimbursement Managers to resolve patient access issues.
- Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, and patient engagement to ensure alignment and full utilization of resources at account level, including utilization of marketing material, execution of in‑services, development, and execution of marketing or other service agreements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Pharmacy, Health Policy or Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years experience in sales and large Pharmaceutical and Biotech account management.
- 3+ years sales, sales management and account management experience with extensive knowledge of the US health care market and a broad knowledge of US healthcare delivery, financial and reimbursement mechanisms.
- Experience managing Commercial Payors (national or regional), Medicaid (FFS and MCO), and/or Specialty Pharmacies.
- Demonstrated success with large account management, market share growth and product profitability.
- Experience in product marketing and/or sales of pharmaceutical/biotech products.
Base salary range: $170,000 – $200,000. Compensation may also include incentive and equity.
