Electrician- Manhattan, KS Area

Description

Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking skilled Electricians. Electricians install electrical systems in the construction industry at job sites and are knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions. Prior electrical installation background is required. Journeyman electricians install electrical systems and are responsible for keeping all work in compliance with local code requirements.

• Installation of electrical systems
• Direct and train apprentices to install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gear
• Interpret prints and generate RFIs for projects
• Maintain quality control of electrical installation
• Ensure jobsite safety and fill out daily pre‑job safety plans

• Journeyman license preferred but not required
• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours)
• OSHA 10 certification required (reimbursement available upon completion)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
• PPE required for all duties
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical fit‑to‑work examination and drug test

Qualified Journeyman Electricians starting at $30.00+/hour. 40 or more hours per week.
