About This Role
The lead irrigation technician exists to provide grounds maintenance support for the campus with emphasis on irrigation and to manage (lead) other irrigation tech(s).
About UsThe role of the Landscape Services is to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing exterior environment for the students, faculty and staff of K-State. The department is responsible for the maintenance and installation of over 250 acres of turf grass, shrubs, trees and annual flower beds on campus.

What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skill in use and operations of tools, machines and equipment commonly used in plumbing and electrical work at the skilled craft level.
- Eighteen months experience in performing irrigation work and institution grounds experience.
- Familiarity with campus operations, landscaping design, and contractor coordination.
Sponsorship eligibility:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
