Collision Technician

Manhattan, Kansas

Ready to upgrade your shop environment? Alan Clark Body Shop is hiring a full-time Collision Technician for our fully air‑conditioned collision center in Manhattan, Kansas! Enjoy a stable Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule alongside a supportive, fast‑growing team. Minimum Experience:

Mid-level

What you need: 2 years of auto body shop experience or a 2-year auto repair training certificate.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • I-Car and/or ASE Certification is strongly preferred
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Proficiency in modern repair such as aluminum, structural and use of frame straightening/measuring systems.
  • Physical Demands:
    Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, and work in various positions (eg. kneeling, bending, and crouching).
  • Soft skills/Culture: strong commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and continuous learning.
Job Duties
  • Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
  • Check parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
  • Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment safely.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
