Field Service Technician

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
• Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls
• Act as a first-line response to customers
• Communicate with customers in an open, helpful, and engaging manner
• Organize and triage customer issues
• Handle some customer problems before they start
• Complete formal training to provide customers with required solutions
• Work with teachers, mentors, and coaches across service territories

• Local candidate to specific geographic area
• Authorized to work in the US
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to travel extensively, driving several hours per day
• Willingness to work rotating and weekend shifts
• Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays
• Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts
• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software
• A+ Certification, CompTIA, N+ Certification
• One or more years of related experience (preferred)

Demonstrates expertise in servicing electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, while providing exceptional customer support and effective communication. Capable of performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
