Description

This full‑time position requires in‑role training at an operating site for a duration of more than five weeks. The training will be located 50 miles or more from the home site, and Amazon will book and pay for all travel accommodations.

Since opening our “virtual” doors in 1995, Amazon has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We work hard to delight customers from the moment an order is placed online to the seamless coordination behind the scenes, staying agile, fluid, and intentional. This drives our bias for action: teams band together, roll up their sleeves, and are not content with standing still.

Our goal is to become the most customer‑centric company on Earth.

Rural Super Rural (RSR) is an exciting organization within Amazon dedicated to ensuring customers receive their deliveries and are satisfied, even in the most remote areas. RSR combines operations and support teams to continuously innovate the last‑mile delivery process while bringing smiles to customers’ faces.

Amazon seeks self‑motivated Driver Trainers to build a network of customer‑centric Delivery Associates in the communities where we operate. As a Driver Trainer, you have a passion for mentoring, are comfortable teaching large groups, and believe in hands‑on training and drive‑along sessions that instill safe practices.

As a Driver Trainer, you are responsible for establishing a driver‑training culture, setting up the training experience, and independently instructing training sessions. You educate Delivery Associates on foundational safety, quality, and productivity, adapting to different learning styles and using a hands‑on approach. You exhibit learning and curiosity by answering all questions and finding answers when unsure.

As a Driver Trainer, you lead by example and demonstrate Amazon Leadership Principles at all times. You play a key role in ensuring Delivery Associates are set up for success to deliver orders on time and at the right place.

Due to interstate operating authority and commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21, hold a valid state‑appropriate driver’s license, be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File, and be eligible to drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 people, including in‑station classes and drive‑along sessions.
  • Partner with Delivery Service Partners, Operations Managers, Area Managers, and Learning Teams to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training‑related activities.
  • Have a detailed understanding of processes, expectations, and training requirements for all driver programs in operation.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on training completion, safety, compliance, and maintenance duties.
  • Execute to the standard, ensuring content and experience complement safety, quality, and legal procedures as defined.
  • Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards, including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service, trip planning, and safe road driving practices.
  • Track and monitor performance, including on‑road ride‑behind sessions to measure quality, adherence to standards, and identify re‑training and process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive, maneuver, load/unload a truck using approved equipment (dolly, etc.), with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work outside and drive different motor vehicles over the road.
  • Drive in accordance with DOT requirements.
  • Stay connected to the operation by participating in on‑road processes on a regular basis.
  • Be a resource to the delivery station for driver‑training questions.
  • Work as a peer trainer as needed to support the business.
  • Motivate, coach, and provide feedback to Delivery Associates during training.
  • Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles of the home station and have reliable transportation.
  • Operate and navigate a vehicle 26,000 pounds or less.
  • Track performance and provide identified re‑training and process improvement opportunities to further develop non‑CDL…
