Summary of Role

This position is responsible for ensuring MWI Animal Health drivers and customers receive the desired ordered product in a timely manner and ensuring the continued flow of products leaving the Edwardsville warehouse. This position will work in conjunction with all Animal Health personnel to include sales team members, key warehouse personnel, and the transportation team.

Shift Details

Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:30pm.

Location:

Must be located within a 30‑mile radius of Edwardsville, KS region.

Travel:
On the road 75%.

Responsibilities
  • Drive truck to designated locations and load and unload supplies and equipment as directed by bills of lading.
  • Unload and check product/pallets upon arriving at warehouse.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies—including fifth wheel, tire, lights, brakes, diesel, oil, and water—for defects before and after trips.
  • Maintain vehicle upkeep by performing general maintenance and addressing safety concerns, reporting discrepancies and major repairs to the manager and leasing company, and performing emergency roadside repairs.
  • Ensure cargo is secure during transit.
  • Maintain accurate driving records and follow all regulations including DOT and Hazmat regulations, daily logs, inspection reports, cargo loads, and customer receipts as required.
  • Follow all procedures detailed in the Delivery Specialist Procedure Manual.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Warehouse Manager to receive delivery instructions and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory, including taking inventory at customer sites and determining customer needs.
  • Keep the truck clean and orderly.
  • Provide customer service when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
  • Six months to a year of related experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement and forklift experience.
Work Environment

This position will work in both a warehouse environment and at customer sites, including feedlots and dairies. In such an environment the position will be frequently exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, temperature changes, humidity, and noise.

Physical Requirements
  • Require heavy work including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, hearing, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Frequently require climbing, stooping, kneeling, talking, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs on occasion, and move 75 lbs from pallet to pallet.
  • Must be available for on‑call rotation.
