Flight Operations Specialist

About This Role

The Flight Operations Specialist supports all activities of flight line operations under the supervision of the Flight Line Manager and Supervisors of Flight (SOF). This position is responsible for daily aircraft servicing, washing, and ground handling tasks that support safe flight training operations. The Flight Ops Specialist assists with the interface between the flight program, flight maintenance, and flight line operations by maintaining aircraft cleanliness, performing basic servicing tasks, and ensuring proper ground handling procedures are followed.

On‑site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K‑State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • One year of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with the safe operation and use of aircraft refuelers, tugs, and aircraft preheaters
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Previous FAR 141 dispatch experience
  • Familiar with FAA regulations and Aviation Terminology
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Scheduling experience of workers
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
