With offices nationwide, the firm serves organizations around the world as an independent member of Nexia. Cohn Reznick currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Senior Associate to join our Commercial Services Team in our New York City office.
Cohn Reznick's Commercial Services Industry Group focuses on serving clients in the Consumer, Hospitality, and Manufacturing & Distribution sectors. The group works with middle-market and growth-oriented companies, providing integrated advisory, assurance, and tax services tailored to the operational, financial, and regulatory challenges these industries face.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Assist with the process and review of various returns
- Must be able to perform various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements
- Experience in managing the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews is a plus
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
- Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Gain the respect and confidence of the CR team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree required;
Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred - CPA, JD or EA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Commercial Services industry experience preferred
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Competence with tax compliance and research software to include Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIA
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
In New York, the salary range for a Tax Senior Associate is $85,000 to $140,000. Salary is one component of the Cohn Reznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded, and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
