Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist:

Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with physician orders

Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications and monitoring during procedures

Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images

Operate and maintain MRI equipment according to facility protocols

Administer contrast agents when required and monitor for adverse reactions

Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation

Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure efficient workflow

Follow strict infection control and safety guidelines

Requirements:

Active ARRT (MR) certification required

Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license

Minimum 1–2 years of recent MRI experience

BLS certification required

Experience with contrast administration preferred

Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
