Technical Project Manager Investment Banking Advisory (Contract)
Investment Banking / Capital Markets / Private Capital Advisory
Our client, a top-tier independent investment bank is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support key initiatives across its Investment Banking Advisory business. This is a front-office, business-facing role partnering directly with Managing Directors, coverage teams, and deal professionals to drive strategic and operational initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience within investment banking or capital markets environments, with the ability to translate business needs into structured execution plans and deliver results in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of front-office initiatives aligned to origination and execution priorities
- Define project scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics
- Translate banker and business stakeholder requirements into actionable project plans
- Partner across Technology, Data, Compliance, and Operations to ensure successful execution
- Track risks, dependencies, issues, and scope across multiple work streams
- Provide concise, executive-level status updates to senior stakeholders
- Oversee UAT and ensure solutions meet front-office usability and business requirements
- Drive delivery in a fast-moving deal environment with minimal oversight
- 5 8+ years of experience in:
- Project Management
- Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Private Capital Advisory environments
- Supporting front-office or revenue-producing business teams
- Strong understanding of the investment banking advisory deal lifecycle, from origination through closing
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives involving business and technology stakeholders
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure environments
- Experience with workflow automation and/or AI-enabled productivity initiatives
- Background working at a top-tier advisory firm or independent investment bank
- Prior exposure to banker-facing transformation, process improvement, or front-office technology initiatives
- Improved visibility and coordination across active engagements
- Measurable workflow efficiency gains for bankers and deal teams
- On-time delivery against committed project timelines
- Strong adoption of solutions by front-office stakeholders
