NPI Engineer | Manistee, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Manistee that are seeking skilled NPI Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Drive new product introduction (NPI) processes from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
- Manage pilot builds and production ramp-up activities, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Define and implement quality control plans and procedures for new products.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for NPI processes, work instructions, and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for design review and manufacturability analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding) and their impact on product design.
- Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill) for managing engineering data and BOMs.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, VBA).
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
