Manufacturing Engineer | Manistee, MI
Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Manistee region seeking Manufacturing Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement new production methods, equipment, and tooling.
- Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and experience with creating and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing them in a production setting.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Solid Works or other CAD software.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
- Experience with automation and robotics.
