Cost Accountant

Lakeside Foods is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the accurate and timely costing, reporting, and analysis of products across Lakeside Foods, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, product costing, and business decision support through strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Prepare and analyze cost reporting for direct labor, overhead, warehouse, selling, G&A, and interest using appropriate costing methods
• Support monthly, fiscal, budget, and projection close schedules
• Develop and maintain profit byproduct reporting and supporting schedules
• Support preparation of Income Statement components, including cost of goods sold and warehouse costs
• Prepare customer profitability reporting and support Sales with pricing analysis
• Ensure accuracy of cost data through proper use of accounting systems and tools
• Review or support work of cost accounting team members as needed
• Perform assigned product costing activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Support special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of accounting experience with ability to apply accounting principles

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and manipulation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and professional judgment
