Set schedules:
On call days are set so you know exactly when you will be on call. Includes two weekday shifts (Mondays and Wednesdays) from 5:00PM - 8:00AM and every other weekend from Friday at 5:00PM until Monday at 8:00AM.

1:1 Care:
From training to working, you will be able to dedicate your time to just one person at a time. Our clients are wonderful and appreciate our help!

About the Role

As an On Call Caregiver at Jay's Legacy, you'll provide non-medical, in-home care to elderly clients, helping to fulfill our mission of Putting Life Back into Living.

Availability

Be available on short notice for last-minute or emergency shifts for the entire duration of the On Call shift.

Schedule and Pay

On Call Caregiver will be on call two (2) weekdays (Mondays and Wednesdays) from 5pm through 8am the next morning and every other weekend from 5pm Friday through 8am Monday morning.

Mon/Wed & Fri have a daily stipend of $50 per day just for being on call.

Sat/Sun have a daily stipend of $75 per day just for being on call.

If you are called in for a shift, you will receive an hourly wage of $17 (and still get the stipend for the day).

Additional shifts may be available during the week if looking for scheduled direct care hours.

Responsibilities

Be available on short notice for last-minute or emergency shifts.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
Assist clients with range of motion therapies (may be physically intense at times).

Other Experience and Qualifications

Prior caregiving experience (1 year preferred).
Ability to respond quickly and reliably for all on call requests.
Experience with sit-to-stand and lifts preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
Have a valid Wisconsin Driver License with no major driving infractions.
Reliable transportation with insurance.
