IT Specialist
This is a unique position with the opportunity to support both our office team members and remote operations team members. The role is part of the Information Technology team and assists in first‑level helpdesk support, IT‑related projects, and software deployments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced setting, is proactive, customer‑service focused, and can assist the Information Technology Officer and other IT team members in implementing and maintaining all IT functions for the company.
This position provides technical assistance, support, and advice to a sizable group of users, troubleshoots, and interprets problems for hardware, software, and systems. Travel to various branches throughout the footprint is required.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support per request via phone and email from various constituencies – break/fix for internal and remote users
- Cherting and onboarding new users throughout the organization
- Translate user needs into technical solutions
- Support IT systems throughout the organization via a help desk
- Create, track, and manage all IT tickets through the ticketing system
- Travel to various Bank First locations throughout Wisconsin to provide onsite assistance when needed
- Participate in on‑call during weeknights and weekends to support the mobile user base
- Work with other IT team members and 3rd‑party partners to solve problems, enabling IT to meet organizational needs
- Create technical documentation for end‑users and 3rd‑party partners
- Work with other departments to understand processes and needs and provide automated solutions that improve efficiency or enhance employee and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to the maintenance of systems standards
- Perform daily system monitoring and proactive maintenance of end‑user equipment and peripherals
- Respond to and troubleshoot system issues and outages
- Implement system security, including adherence to documented processes and procedures and compliance auditing
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and systems (PCs, printers, mobile devices, VOIP phones)
- Install application upgrades when necessary
- Provide guidance and training to end users in all offices
- Onboard users in various systems and applications

- 3-5 years of help desk experience preferred
- Banking experience preferred
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience in a service desk role interacting with both internal and external users
- Ability to collaborate with team members through various communication methods
- Broad knowledge and experience with various information systems and technologies
- Terminal Server or Citrix experience a plus
- Prior administration of Active Directory and Group Policy a plus
