Job Requirements
Record test data and prepare reports, summaries, or charts that interpret test results. Calibrate microscopes or test instruments. Collect samples of gases, soils, water, industrial wastewater, or asbestos products to conduct tests on pollutant levels or identify sources of pollution.
Inspect workplaces to ensure the absence of health and safety hazards, such as high noise levels, radiation, or potential lighting hazards. Perform statistical analysis of environmental data. Conduct standardized tests to ensure materials or supplies used throughout power supply systems meet processing and safety specifications.
Maintain files, such as hazardous waste databases, chemical usage data, personnel exposure information, or diagrams showing equipment locations.
Other Experience and QualificationsJob Summary
1. Take temperature readings daily of all plating and cleaning baths. Do hull cell testing on plating baths and record findings. Make up add slips for chemical adds to baths and give to chemical adder or Production Supervisor. Check PH of baths when appropriate and record results. Record daily test results. Fill out S.P.C. graphs. Take inventory of chemicals in lab and keep sufficient supply in stock.
Send in samples on a monthly basis to chemical suppliers.
2. Performs all other similar or related duties as necessary.
Qualifications- Must be able to read at a 12th grade level.
- Be able to read/write in English.
- Must have basic understanding of computer skills with Microsoft.
- Office preferred.
- Must understand basic math.
- Must not be colorblind.
- Confidentiality is a must.
Tolerance for bending, standing, and walking for long periods. 20-20 vision with or without prescribed eyeglasses, speaking ability, and hearing accuracy. Manual dexterity. Must be able to move or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently. Able to tolerate working on the shop floor all day. The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
