Value Added Assembly Production Technician

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include the following:

• On site regular and reliable attendance is required
• Read and follow detailed work instructions to assemble parts
• Operate assembly equipment (mills, drills, punch presses, sonic welders, pad printers, hot stampers, etc.)
• Trim and finish parts using hand tools (X-Acto knives, clippers, pliers)
• Assemble components (with or without additional parts)
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other tools
• Document and report quality issues
• Package, label, and weigh finished products
• Assemble boxes for shipment
• Monitor scrap and complete reports as needed
• Support production needs and cross-train as required
• Follow all safety policies and Lean Manufacturing practices
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)
• Basic computer skills (IQMS experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Problem-solving ability in a structured environment
• Active manufacturing floor (moderate to loud noise, moving machinery)
• Hearing protection is required in this department at all times.
• Regular standing and walking
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Use of hands, tools, and repetitive motion
• Bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing as needed
• Visual requirements: close, distance, color, and depth perception
